Two ways to get in

There are two parallel admission tracks. Most students take the management quota route because it has no entrance exam and accepts you on 10+2 marks alone.

Track 1: Government / aided seats (entrance required)

StateExamApprox. dateCutoff
KarnatakaKCET (Pharmacy stream)First week of May 2026Top 60% rank
TelanganaTS EAPCETMid-May 2026Top 70% rank
MaharashtraMHT-CET (Pharmacy)Last week of May 2026Top 65% rank
Andhra PradeshAP EAPCETLate May 2026Top 70% rank

Cutoffs are indicative — government college cutoffs are tighter than private aided seats.

Track 2: Management quota direct admission (no entrance)

Apply directly to a PCI-approved college's management quota. Eligibility is just 10+2 with PCB/PCM at the state's minimum percentage. Most South Indian colleges accept management-quota applications between June and August.

Which track is right for you?

If you scored above 75% in 10+2 and your state CET is fast-approaching, prepare for the entrance — government college fees are dramatically lower (₹15–40k/year) than private (₹40–140k/year). If your marks are 50–75% or you missed the CET window, management quota is a clear, fast path. Both routes graduate you with the same PCI-recognised D.Pharm degree.

Frequently asked questions

Can I apply without an entrance exam in 2026?
Yes — management-quota seats at any PCI-approved college require only 10+2 with PCB/PCM at the state's minimum percentage. No KCET / EAPCET / MHT-CET needed.
When does the 2026 admission cycle close?
Most government colleges close after the final counselling round in July. Management-quota seats stay open until late August at most colleges, sometimes into September if seats remain unfilled.
Is D.Pharm degree valid all over India?
Yes. PCI approval is national. A D.Pharm degree from a PCI-approved Karnataka college is accepted for Drug Licence applications and pharmacist registration in any other state.
